Is your child ready to understand the world?

Most people live inside the global economy without any real understanding of how it works — let alone the ability to talk about it. We change that, with genuine insight and the tools to communicate it.

The global economy shapes everything — and most young people have never been introduced to it

Exchange rates, interest rates, and capital flows determine what things cost, which jobs exist, and how countries relate to each other. It's simply not something schools have the space to cover well — and that's the gap Meridion fills.

Not another textbook course

Economics is often taught as theory divorced from reality. We do the opposite — every concept is anchored in current events and real decisions.

Real-world anchoring Every concept is introduced through a recent, concrete event — a Fed rate decision, a currency crisis, a trade war — before the theory is explained.
Discussion-first pedagogy No passive listening. Students are asked to take positions, defend them, and explain their reasoning — building both economic understanding and the ability to articulate it clearly.
Builds critical thinking and written expression Because every lesson uses real events and real concepts, students naturally develop the analytical habits that translate into stronger essay writing — useful for GP, IB Theory of Knowledge, Economics, and similar subjects.
Small cohorts, live sessions No recordings or pre-packaged content. Small groups mean every student is known, challenged, and heard in every session.

Common questions

Who is the RealWorld Series designed for? +
The RealWorld Series is designed for anyone who wants a genuine, accessible understanding of how the global economy works. No prior knowledge of economics is assumed or required.
Will this help with school subjects or exams? +
The RealWorld Series is not a exam-prep course — but students often find it directly useful for essay-based subjects that reward real-world knowledge and structured argumentation. This includes General Paper at A-Level, Theory of Knowledge (IB), Economics (A-Level, IB, AP), and similar subjects at polytechnics and international schools. Because the course is built around real examples and real concepts, it naturally develops the kind of critical thinking and analytical writing that these subjects demand.
How long does the full course take? +
The full six-chapter course typically takes 12–16 weeks with weekly sessions. The pace can be adjusted based on each student's schedule and goals.
Are sessions 1-on-1 or in a group? +
Sessions are delivered in small groups of up to 4 students, which encourages discussion, debate, and peer learning. The free introductory lesson is always 1-on-1.
Where are sessions held? +
All sessions are held online via video call. Students can join from anywhere in the world.
